The project takes formal inspiration from the iconic dogtrot home, reimagined as a contemporary, urban residence. Located on a suburban infill lot, the design minimized square footage in favor of additional outdoor space. Interior spaces open out, visually and physically, to a lushly landscaped environment, encouraging the connection to nature.

The interior finishes are restrained, chosen for their material honesty and tactility. Details echo the pragmatic utility of a working farm, encouraging conscious intent and physical interaction – a simple meditation on being present in the moment.

Here, life is simple.
