The canopy eliminates direct sunlight from entering the residence during the hottest seasons while allowing maximum visibility to the south, as well as providing 40% of the home’s power consumption through mounted photovoltaic modules. Rammed earth construction creates a thermal mass to mitigate the extreme fluctuations in day and nighttime temperatures.
